We are thrilled to share highlights from our recent Consultative Jirga, held on February 4, 2024, at the Ottawa Public Library Greenboro. This pivotal event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders to discuss and shape Ghatol Foundation’s Strategy for 2024-2026.
The Consultative Jirga commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. Said Mohammad Ahmadi, Chair of Ghatol Foundation, setting the tone for an engaging and productive session. Attendees had the opportunity to delve into the heart of our organizational strategy during a presentation by Hamdullah Arbab, Director of Cultural Programs, who provided valuable insights into the Foundation’s future direction.
The session transitioned into an open forum, allowing all participants to actively contribute their perspectives, ideas, and suggestions. This inclusive dialogue fostered rich discussions and collective brainstorming, essential for charting a path forward that reflects the aspirations and priorities of our community.
A special endorsement video session further underscored the significance of our collective efforts and the importance of unity in advancing our mission. As the Jirga drew to a close, Sayed Ikram Afzali, Member of the Board of Directors, offered closing remarks, expressing gratitude to all participants for their invaluable contributions and commitment to our shared vision.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who attended and participated in this meaningful event. Your dedication and engagement are instrumental in shaping the future of Ghatol Foundation and empowering our community. Together, we look forward to realizing our shared goals and making a lasting impact on Afghan culture and heritage.
